The Town of Braintree was founded in 1640 and is located in Norfolk County about ten miles from Boston.
Old Braintree was the birthplace of two of our presidents -John Adams and his son John Quincy Adams. The town offers an excellent school system and a public beach as well as an 18 hole public golf course.
Braintree also includes the one of the largest regional shopping centers in the north east, the South Shore Plaza.
LEGO fun for kids! Target has generously provided LEGOs for to use at the library during LEGO programs. Come create, build whatever your imagination will think of! We'll set up in the Children's Room, near the copy machine. For kids age 5-12. No sign-up needed. We'll have LEGO programs for age 5 up twice a month on Wednesdays at 3:45 - 4:45. Younger brothers and sisters can play with wooden blocks and Duplos in the same area as their siblings. Board Games will be twice a month on Wednesdays for age 8 up until 4:30.
